Plain-language summary
Egg Panic! doesn't need an account and Tinkertap LTD doesn't run any servers that receive your personal data. Your scores, settings and records are saved on your device.
The app uses four Google services, each under Google's own privacy terms: AdMob (ads), Google Play Billing (purchases), Google Play Games (optional sign-in, leaderboards, achievements and cloud save) and Google's consent form (for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland). Signing in to Play Games is optional. Challenge Mode also asks Google's time servers for the current time; see Network time.
Information stored on your device
The app saves the following locally, using Android's app storage. The progress and purchase data below is kept in encrypted storage on your device:
- Your top 5 Egg Rush high scores.
- Your Egg Harvest (Worlds) records: score and stage reached per world, the stars you have earned on each stage, and your spendable star balance, plus a saved game so you can continue a stage where you left off.
- Your Weekly Challenge results (Challenge Mode): your best score or time and stars for each week you have played, and a saved reading of the current time (see Network time).
- Whether you have bought the “Support the Dev” upgrade (ad removal, Challenge Mode and the one-time star bonus), and any star packs you have bought.
- Your settings: sound, vibration, tutorial hints and your choice of control style.
- Ad-related state: how many runs or stages you have played since the last ad.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data from Android Settings, deletes everything stored on the device. If you have signed in to Google Play Games, your progress is also kept in your cloud save (see Google Play Games) and can be restored on a new device or after a reinstall. Purchases are tied to your Google Play account and are restored automatically.
Google Play Games
If you choose to sign in, the app uses Google Play Games Services. This is optional, and the game can be played without it. When you are signed in, the following is sent to and stored by Google:
- Your Play Games player ID and profile (display name and avatar, as set in your Play Games profile).
- Your scores, submitted to the Egg Rush, Worlds and weekly challenge leaderboards. Depending on your Play Games settings, other players may see your display name and score.
- The achievements you unlock.
- A cloud save of your game progress: records, per-stage stars, star balance, weekly challenge results and purchase-related flags. It lets the game restore your progress and keep World unlocks when you reinstall or switch devices.
This data is held by Google under your Google account, not by Tinkertap LTD, and is governed by Google's terms. You can manage or delete your Play Games data from the Google Play Games app or your Google account settings.
Third-party services and SDKs
Egg Panic! includes the following third-party software development kits (SDKs), all provided by Google. Tinkertap LTD does not use any other analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs.
Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) — advertising
Egg Panic! shows interstitial (full-screen) ads between play sessions and optional rewarded video ads, which you can choose to watch for a benefit such as a rescue or a continue. To select and display ads, AdMob may process information such as your device's advertising identifier, general device information, your IP address (from which a general location may be estimated), an app-set identifier, ad interaction data such as impressions, clicks and video views, and diagnostic information about the performance of the app and the SDK, such as launch time and hang rate. Google uses this for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. This processing is performed by Google, governed by Google's privacy policy and, where required, its consent mechanisms for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
You can review and reset your device's advertising identifier, and adjust ad personalization, from your device's Google Settings under “Ads.” If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) the first time it's required, and a Privacy Options button in the app's Settings menu lets you reopen it and change your choice at any time. No ads are requested until consent has been resolved where it is required.
Google Play Billing
Used to process purchases. See Purchases and payments.
Google Play Games Services
Used for optional sign-in, leaderboards, achievements and cloud save. See Google Play Games.
Network time (Challenge Mode)
Weekly Challenges run on a fixed weekly schedule, so the app keeps its own clock that changing your phone's date or time cannot move. To set that clock the app asks for the current time over the internet. On Android 13 and later it reads the time your device has already received from the network. Otherwise it sends a standard time request (NTP) to Google's public time server, time.google.com, and, if that is blocked, a simple web request to www.google.com to read the date in the reply.
These requests contain no personal information and nothing about your game. Like any internet request, they reveal your device's IP address to Google, which handles it under Google's privacy policy. The app also saves the last known time on your device so the schedule carries on while you are offline. Tinkertap LTD receives none of this.
Purchases and payments
Egg Panic! offers an optional one-time “Support the Dev” purchase (removes popup ads, unlocks Challenge Mode and gives a one-time bonus of stars) and optional star packs (60, 100 and 200 stars). All purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Tinkertap LTD never receives or stores your payment details, such as card numbers or billing address; those stay between you and Google, under Google Play's terms.
The app receives only confirmation that a purchase was made, which unlocks the item on your device. To protect against fraudulent or tampered purchases, the app checks the purchase receipt's digital signature using Google Play's public key. Refunds and purchase management are handled in your Google Play account.
Fair play and purchase integrity
To keep leaderboards and purchases fair, the app verifies purchase receipts as described above. If a purchase is refunded through Google Play, the benefits of that purchase (such as ad removal, Challenge Mode and the one-time supporter star bonus) may be withdrawn from the game. Scores that are clearly produced by tampering with the app or its saved data may be ignored or removed from leaderboards. This is done using the data already described in this policy; we do not collect additional device identifiers for this purpose.
Permissions the app uses
INTERNET/ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE— required to load ads, process purchases, use Google Play Games sign-in, leaderboards and cloud save, and check the current time for Challenge Mode. Not used for anything else: there is no Tinkertap-operated server, tracking or analytics.VIBRATE— optional haptic feedback during play, which you can turn off in Settings.- The Google Mobile Ads SDK may use the Android advertising ID (
AD_ID) for ad delivery and measurement, subject to your device's ad settings and, where applicable, your consent choice. It also declares the related Android ad-services permissions (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION,ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS) and background-work permissions (WAKE_LOCK,FOREGROUND_SERVICE) that it needs to deliver and measure ads. com.android.vending.BILLING— added by Google Play Billing so you can make purchases through Google Play.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us using the details below and it will be addressed. The app's use of Google AdMob remains subject to Google Play's Families Policy and any age-appropriate advertising requirements if the app is ever designated for a child audience.

UK GDPR and EU GDPR
Tinkertap LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom, is the developer of Egg Panic!. Tinkertap LTD does not operate servers that hold your personal data. Google acts as the controller of the data it processes through AdMob, Play Billing and Play Games. Where we process data on your device to provide the game and verify purchases, we do so to perform the service you asked for and for our legitimate interest in preventing fraud. Personalized ads are shown only where you have consented, in regions where consent is required.
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because most data is held by Google, you can exercise those rights through your Google account. You can also contact us below, and you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.
Data retention and deletion
We do not run servers that store your personal data, so we keep none. Game data on your device (scores, progress, stars, weekly challenge results, saved games, purchase status, settings and ad counters) stays there until you uninstall the app or clear its data, which deletes it. If you use Google Play Games, your player profile, leaderboard scores, achievements and cloud save are kept by Google under your Google account until you delete them through the Google Play Games app or your Google account settings. Data processed by Google AdMob, Google Play Billing and Google's time servers is retained according to Google's own policies. If you email us, we keep your message only as long as needed to answer it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app's features or third-party services change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
